As far as I can tell, I am as prepared as I'll ever be. Packing for the trip was surprisingly easy, so much so that I feel like I am forgetting something important. I probably am, so anticipate a "I Fucked Up" post next week when I figure out what I forgot. I didn't bring a ton of clothes, as those would weigh me down, so I brought a handful of quick-dry shirts and shorts. Hopefully that way I don't have to wash them too often without assaulting people's noses.
While packing for the trip was relatively easy, I also had to pack everything else I owned to move out of my college house before I left, which was far from easy (shout out to my brother Carl, who helped me move out--couldn't have done it without you buddy). This last week, the last few days especially, have been incredibly taxing. I have been working at camp from 8-4, which always manages to drain all of my energy. Going from straight from camp to packing was terrible, and I managed to catch a cold in the process which didn't help anything.
But, all of those troubles were a small price to pay for what lies ahead. My cold has passed for the most part, and I am ready to go. I said my goodbyes to friends last night and took a house picture with all of my roommates before I left, which ended up being a fiasco. I'll try to update this post with one of the many pictures we took once I get a copy of one.
Anyways, I'm running on around three hours of sleep currently, so I'm going to try to catch a few snoozes on the bus.
Thanks for reading,
Ben
